Now, over all, I’m not terribly impressed with Suze. I always get the impression that she’s talking down to me. That’s probably because I don’t really need the information in this book because I’m a business freak and Scroogish by nature. This is however, an excellent resource for people who are just getting started on their finances. The format is easy to use; the organization is easy to understand; and the information is sound. Unlike many books on the market, this book is targeted towards the folks that actually need the starting out advice and doesn’t ask you to make untenable budgets or live like a monk. She explains a lot of the terms that you hear every day and has geared her advice for when you’re just starting out. She has great ways to establish credit, boost your FICO score, and set up for your future without hurting yourself here and now. If you need a good place to start, this is it.
