Bacon Jam Stuffed French Toast with Chicory Coffee Syrup — I’ll be perfectly honest, I’m torn on this one. I’m not one for French Toast in general, but this sounds intriguing. I think it’s the idea of the sharpness of chicory competing with the salt and sweet of the bacon and the toast. Something about the balance of flavors that makes me want to try this one. Chocolate Covered Almond Cake with Hot Polka Dot — I don’t know what to say about this except that I’m drooling just looking at the picture. (The White Library)

Fresh Zucchini Salad with Avocado, Toasted Almonds and Feta — What I like best about this is that it is not made with cucumbers. It may be sacrilege, but I despise cucumbers. (Snails View)

Oxtail Grilled Cheese with Cognac Raisin Jam — I am fascinated by this as well. I’ve never had oxtail. (Rooter to the Tooter)

SWEET FOCACCIA WITH STRAWBERRIES & CHOCOLATE GANACHE — This looks absolutely delicious. I’m thinking of using basalmic vinegar as a substitute for the chocolate. We’ll have to see. (Life’s a Feast)
