Recipe Roundup July 2014

Spiced Cranberry Pear Jam (Food Babbles) – I’m considering making this for Christmas presents. What do you mean too early? I’m *late* this year. Normally, I’m done shopping by now…

Wild Mushroom Risotto (Strawberry Plum) – I just have to find real marscapone. (Real marscapone is made from sheep milk, so I can actually eat it.)

Olive Tapenade Recipe (Gluten Free Goddess) – Something great for the summer that I can feed to my vegan friends.

LAMB GOULASH (Life’s a Feast) – Looks delicious. Must make immediately.

Paleo Chocolate Zucchini Bread (Elana’s Pantry) – This has coconut oil in it, so I can’t eat it. But my friends can.

Recipe Roundup October 2013

White Peach Crumb Tart (Vanilla Sugar Blog) – Looks simple and without a lot of things I’ll need to substitute. There’s even a video on how to do the pastry.

Roasted Plum and Ricotta Breakfast Bruschetta (Strawberry Plum) – Oh, nom, nom. This looks good. However, it won’t be for breakfast. I don’t have the patience to do this in the morning. Afternoon or dessert maybe.

Blueberry Peach Tart (Food Babbles) – Oh yes, I’ll have to do this. Hmm… we have some frozen peaches, wonder if those will work.

Roasted Apricot Honey Ice CreamI’ll have to modify this a bit, (such are the joys of food allergies) but goodness, it looks decadent.

Gingered Mulberry-Orange Crumble with Pecan Crunch (Foxes Love Lemons) – This looks wonderful. Absolutely wonderful, and deserving of a dribble of real cream.

Recipe Roundup March 2013

Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzel Tart (Hot Polka Dot) – This looks so delicious, and yet, would probably kill me to eat. Still… it might be a good way to go.

Artichoke, Asparagus, and Garbanzo Salad (Cookistry) – This looks perfect for a summer or spring dish.

Lamb Chops with Herbs and Balsamic Sauce (Cooking in Sens) — In my mouth. NOW!

Blood Orange Almond Tart (Food Babbles) — There are just not enough blood orange recipes. This one looks wonderful.

Svampet kage med bær, hasselnødder og sirup (Jans Madblog) — Yes, there is an English translation on the page. To whit: Vanilla cake with berries and hazelnuts.

Recipe Roundup August 2012

Orange Chocolate Toasted Pecan Sticky Buns and Bad Boy First Love, Part One (Parsley, Sage, and Sweet) – These look dreadfully good. My mom will love the addition of the orange.

Veal Shank Tajine for Two (Cooking in Sens) – I have to wonder how this would work with lamb instead of veal.

Gingersnaps (Elana’s Pantry – Gluten free Gingersnaps. Really, honestly. This is perfect.

FRANGIPANE ÉCLAIRS (Life’s a Feast) – There’s nothing I can say, except, yes, please.

Gluten-Free Banana Nut Bread Recipe (Gluten Free Goddess) – I really hope I can get this to work.

Pizza Lasagna (aka: Pizzaña) (Mommie cooks) – I wonder if I can get Daddy to eat this.

Recipe Roundup August 2011

Butterbeer Cupcakes (The Pastry Affair) – Okay, I’m not a Harry Potter fan, these just *look delicious* and don’t have chocolate.

posh roast pork party kebabs (Jamie Oliver) – Just… yum.

Cherry Amaretto Tart (foodbabbles) – I’m not sure about the amaretto part, but the cherries and the marscapone have my vote.

Warm Cinnamon and Ginger Spiced Peach Pie with French Vanilla Coconut Milk Ice Cream (The Veggie Gnome) – Ginger in Peach pie. It’s brilliant!

Recipe Roundup June 2011

Roasted Cherry Dark Chocolate Brownies — These look deadly and wonderful and would totally blow that new eating lifestyle I was thinking about. (The Pastry Affair)

Bacon Jam Stuffed French Toast with Chicory Coffee Syrup — I’ll be perfectly honest, I’m torn on this one. I’m not one for French Toast in general, but this sounds intriguing. I think it’s the idea of the sharpness of chicory competing with the salt and sweet of the bacon and the toast. Something about the balance of flavors that makes me want to try this one. (The Rooter to the Tooter)

Chocolate Covered Almond Cake with Hot Polka Dot — I don’t know what to say about this except that I’m drooling just looking at the picture. (The White Library)

Fresh Zucchini Salad with Avocado, Toasted Almonds and Feta — What I like best about this is that it is not made with cucumbers. It may be sacrilege, but I despise cucumbers. (Snails View)

Oxtail Grilled Cheese with Cognac Raisin Jam — I am fascinated by this as well. I’ve never had oxtail. (Rooter to the Tooter)

SWEET FOCACCIA WITH STRAWBERRIES & CHOCOLATE GANACHE — This looks absolutely delicious. I’m thinking of using basalmic vinegar as a substitute for the chocolate. We’ll have to see. (Life’s a Feast)
